Research method
This guide is desk research. For each page we:
- Reviewed the seller's own presentation, including its small-print disclaimer.
- Read published engineering analysis on residential power-factor correction, mainly NIST Technical Note 1654.
- Looked at public BBB and Trustpilot profiles at a summary level.
- Considered the questions shoppers commonly ask and wrote answers for them.
We have not bought, installed, metered or laboratory tested StopWatt, and we do not present any hands-on results. We do not publish star scores.
